Go to the Students list and click + Add. The form covers contact info, a guardian for anyone under 18, and an optional family link. It finishes by offering to send a portal invite.
On a phone: In the app, open Students and tap Add: a first name is enough for an adult; for someone under 18, tap Under 18 and add a parent’s name and email. Leave Send the portal invite now ticked and the invite goes out as you save (to the parent for a child). The mobile site’s Students → Add works the same.
Go to the Instructors list and click + Add (or import them from that list’s ⋯ → Import, or during onboarding). Adding one offers to email them a portal setup invite. Pay rate is set separately, and what they can do comes from their role: they join the Teacher role when they accept.
On a phone: In the app: Settings (gear) → Instructors → Add instructor: name, email and pay; it emails them an invitation. On the mobile site, the owner adds one from Instructors → + Add.
The studio owner connects it at Settings → Payments → Card payments → Connect. It’s required for card, Apple Pay and Google Pay online, and funds settle straight to your own bank — MyVocalStudio never holds or moves the money.
On a phone: In the app the owner can connect it at Settings (gear) → Integrations → Stripe → Connect (Resume finishes Stripe’s form). The mobile site shows the status only.
Your studio has a public page at myvocalstudio.com/book/[your studio], no login needed. Copy its link, or a code to embed it on your website, from Booking page → Share. To put a photo at the top: Booking page → Sections → Header → Upload a photo (JPG, PNG or WebP up to 6 MB).
On a phone: On the phone: Settings (the gear) → Share → Share booking page, in the app and on the mobile site. Embed codes, the photo and the page design are desktop-only.
Yes. During onboarding (Integrate your calendar → Import my existing calendar), at Settings → Calendars & apps, or at Calendar → Import, connect Google Calendar or upload an .ics export from Apple, Outlook or any calendar app (how to export from each is in the step). It suggests a matching student for each event, and nothing is imported until you confirm.
On a phone: Importing a calendar is desktop-only.
Change the name at Settings → Profile, with the booking link, contact details, website, address and time zone. The logo and color are at Settings → Look & logo, and the bio is on Booking page → Sections → About. Your logo heads every email your students get and your invoices (without one, it’s a colored tile with your initials). Your studio policies live separately, at Settings → Student portal & waiver → Waiver & policies.
On a phone: In the app, Settings → Studio profile edits the name, bio, contact details and time zone; the logo and brand color aren’t in the app. On the mobile site, the gear → Studio profile has all of that plus the logo, brand color and contact email.
Go to Settings → Where you teach, turn on A studio (if it isn’t already) and press Add a studio address or Add another studio. Start typing the street and pick it from the list; the city, state and ZIP fill in. A name is optional (it uses the street if you leave it blank). To take cards in person there, open the studio and set up Take card payments here; that needs the full address and a connected Stripe account.
On a phone: On the phone site, Settings → Where you teach → A studio → + Add another studio. In the app, Settings → Where you teach. Rooms and card payments are set up on a computer.
Settings → Where you teach has the same four choices as setup: My home, A studio, Students’ homes and Online. Turn each on or off; under each are its details (your home address, your studios and rooms, travel time and who travels, meeting links). Pick all that apply, but keep at least one on. With more than one teacher, Each teacher sets where each one teaches (in person, online, students’ homes).
On a phone: The same four switches are on the phone site (Settings → Where you teach) and in the app (Settings → Where you teach), with your home address, studio addresses and travel time.
Yes. On a phone, setup asks once: Set up on this phone goes one step per screen, or Send me a link for my computer emails your own setup link to the address you signed in with (with the link to copy if the email cannot go). On Bring your studio over you can add students by typing or pasting a list, upload a file from the phone, book a setup call, or choose I'll import from my computer later, which sends the link and keeps that step on your setup checklist. Every step saves as you go and can be skipped. When you finish, Get the app links to the App Store and Google Play: sign in with the same account.
Click the unfinished-import banner on Home. It lists each row that was not saved and why. Fix them in your file and upload it again from Students → ⋯ → Import; rows already saved are not duplicated.
