Go to Dashboard → Packages and add a template: name, number of lessons, lesson length, price and validity dates, tied to one lesson type (or "Any lesson type"). Use the Public/Private toggle to hide a package from the public booking page or restrict it to specific students.
On a phone: Building packages is desktop-only. On the phone, Settings (the gear) → Packages, in the app and on the mobile site, shows the catalog and who is on each package.
On Dashboard → Packages, open the package’s ⋯ menu and choose Enroll a student, then choose how it’s paid: Send for acceptance & payment (a pay link), Charge card on file, or Already paid — record it. You can override the price for just that one enrollment without touching the catalog price.
On a phone: Enrolling is on the desktop site, or in the app ask the assistant (treble clef) if your studio has it. On the phone, Settings → Packages → Students has Adjust price until it’s paid, and in the app Collect (send the link or mark it paid).
Open the unpaid lesson → Resolve payment → Send a payment link. It doesn’t need Stripe: the student gets the lesson’s invoice page and pays by card (if Stripe is connected) or with your Venmo/Zelle/PayPal/Cash App handles, no account needed on their end.
On a phone: In the app, open the lesson (or tap the name on Payments → Open) → Send payment link; for a custom amount, + on Payments → Collect a payment. On the mobile site, Payments → Outstanding → the lesson → Send payment link.
Use Mark as paid on the lesson, invoice, package or event ticket — it asks how the money came in (Cash, Check, Card, Bank transfer, Other, or one of your Venmo/Zelle/PayPal/Cash App handles) and won’t save until you pick one.
On a phone: Open the lesson → Payment → Mark as paid — cash, Venmo, etc. (or tap the name on Payments), pick how it came in, then Save. For an invoice: Record a payment — cash, check, Venmo.
Open a lesson paid by card (Dashboard → Lessons → the lesson) → Resolve payment → Refund payment. It asks you to confirm the amount, then sends it back to the card through Stripe. Any admin can issue a refund, not just the owner; front desk staff can’t, even with "take payments" checked.
On a phone: Refunds can’t be issued from a phone — use the desktop site. In the app a mistaken cash or Venmo record can be taken back with Undo this payment on the lesson.
Yes. The studio owner adds your handles at Settings → Payments → Venmo, Zelle, Cash App, PayPal. Students get a "Pay with…" link with the amount pre-filled for Venmo, Cash App and PayPal (Zelle has no pay link, so they see the amount and your handle instead), and the money goes straight to you; you then mark it received yourself, since there’s no automatic confirmation.
On a phone: Adding your handles is desktop-only. On the phone, record those payments with Mark as paid and pick the method.
Choose how you collect at Settings → Payments → When lessons are billed: At booking, The day before, After the lesson, or Monthly in advance. Manage the invoices themselves at Dashboard → Business → Billing, which has Invoices, Pending charges and Unbilled lessons tabs; + Add charge adds a one-off item, and Invoice now on a pending row bills it right away.
On a phone: Choosing how you get paid is desktop-only. On the phone, open invoices are under Payments (app: Open; mobile site: Invoices) with Send it again and Record a payment, and + → Add to next invoice adds a one-off line.
Open Reports for deeper analysis than the dashboard; the Reporting period menu at the top switches between this month, last month, this quarter, year to date, the last 12 months or all time. Click Customize to drag-reorder or hide cards, or add more metric tiles and charts from + Add box; your layout is saved just for you.
On a phone: On the phone, tap month revenue on Home: revenue, instructor pay, gross profit, expenses and net income for this month, last month, this quarter or year to date. Charts and Customize are desktop-only.
Auto-renew is the student’s choice: at checkout they can tick Auto-charge my card to renew. At one lesson left they get an email saying what will be charged and when, and at zero (at least 24 hours later) their card is charged for the same package. Everyone else gets reminders and a “buy again” payment link instead. Students turn it off from their portal’s Packages page. None of these renewal emails go out until you turn on Package renewals at Settings → Student emails.
On a phone: Package renewal emails are turned on at Settings on the desktop site. On the phone, Settings → Packages → Students shows each student’s package.
Check Needs attention on Home: students who owe you are listed with Remind on each row, or Send reminders for them all. On the Students list, anyone with money outstanding carries an "Owes $X" flag beside their name, and Dashboard → Business → Billing filters invoices to Open or Overdue.
On a phone: In the app, the Payments tab lists who owes; tap a row for Send payment link, Mark as paid or Waive / no charge. A studio with billing plans also gets All, Recurring and One-off chips on Open, in the app and on the mobile site.
Yes. In Settings → Payments → When lessons are billed, choose Monthly, in advance, then Flat tuition every month and enter the amount. You also set the invoice day and how many days before it’s due the invoice is sent, and Pause invoices stops them until you resume.
Open Reports and click Profit & Loss ↗. It shows revenue by source (lessons, packages, event tickets, gift certificates and other charges), instructor pay, operating expenses and net income, compared with the period before.
On Reports, Exports & taxes downloads a Student list, Lesson history, Expense log or Tax / income report (pick the year) as CSV, and Billing can export your invoices. The owner can also download payouts and expenses from Settings → Your data → Accounting downloads.
On Dashboard → Business → Billing, click + Add charge. It waits under Pending charges for the next invoice, or click Invoice now on its row to bill it right away.
On a phone: Tap + on Payments → Add to next invoice, pick who pays, say what it’s for and the amount, then Add charge. This option only appears for studios that send invoices.
On the Expenses page, add an expense: a receipt photo or PDF is read and the form filled in for you to check, with a category such as Supplies, Rent / Space or Travel. Mileage is logged on that page too.
On a phone: In the app, go to Settings → Expenses and add a receipt photo. The app reads the merchant, amount, date and category for you to check, then Save expense. On the mobile site: the gear → Expenses, then Snap a receipt or Add manually. Mileage is on the desktop site.
Ask the assistant "send payment reminders to everyone more than a week overdue". It shows one card per person, and Yes, all N sends them in order and says how many went. On Home, Needs attention also lists who owes, with Send reminders for them all.
On a phone: The same sentence works in the app’s assistant (the treble clef).
