Built for teachers who drive to their students.
Students book a lesson at their own home, the travel time you set stays free between stops, every mile is logged at your rate, and nobody hands you a check at the door. On iPhone, Android and the web.
Solo studios are always free. Unlimited students, with payments included.Your car is your studio. Your software should know that.
In-home lessons mean driving, parking and teaching at a kitchen piano, then doing it again. This keeps the time between stops and the miles behind you in order.
From the first stop to the last mile.
Before you leave
Open the app and see today’s lessons. Every booking already left room for the drive, because the travel time you set is held between places.
At each lesson
Teach, then mark it taught. If the family is on autopay, the card on file is charged on the due date; if not, send a pay link with the amount filled in, or record the cash in a tap.
Back in the car
Send the lesson recap from your phone’s browser, with the note and any sheet music attached. For a child, it goes to the parent.
When a family cancels late
Your policy decides what it costs, and the charge is one tap. A cancellation with notice becomes make-up credit, or goes back on their package.
At the end of the day
Log the miles you drove and where you went. Each trip is saved as an expense at your own per-mile rate.
At tax time
Download your mileage, expenses and yearly income as spreadsheets and hand them to your accountant.
Free for a teacher on the road. No cut of your lessons.
Solo studios are always free. The Solo plan gives one teacher unlimited students, home lessons with travel time, the mileage tracker, invoicing, payments and the app. Card payments go to your own Stripe account, and we never take a percentage of what families pay you.
Every new studio gets 30 days of everything, with no credit card. If you don't pick a plan, you keep the Solo plan and everything you set up.
Questions in-home teachers ask
Can students book a music lesson at their own home?
Yes. Turn on Students’ homes under Where you teach, and students choose "At my home" when they book. You decide which teachers travel. Online booking →
Does it leave me time to drive between lessons?
Yes. The travel time you set (30 minutes unless you change it) is kept free before and after every lesson at a student’s home, and between lessons at two different places. Two lessons in the same place never pay it. Scheduling →
Is there a mileage tracker for music teachers?
Yes. Log each trip’s miles, the date and where you went, valued at the per-mile rate you set. Each trip is saved as a mileage expense, so it counts in your profit and loss, and it downloads as a spreadsheet at tax time. Expenses, mileage and tax reports →
How do I get paid at a student’s home?
Without waiting for a check. Families can turn on autopay for the card on file, or tap a pay link for card, Venmo, Cash App, PayPal or Zelle with the amount filled in. Cash and checks are recorded in a tap. Payments and invoices →
Can I charge for a late cancellation after I have already driven there?
Yes. You set how many hours' notice counts as late and what a late cancellation costs: the full price, a flat fee, a percentage or one package lesson. A cancellation inside that window offers the charge in one tap.
Can I teach some lessons at home, some at my studio and some online?
Yes. Turn on every place you teach (your home, a studio, students’ homes and online) and they share one calendar. Online lessons get a Zoom or Google Meet link once you connect it.
How much does it cost for a teacher who travels?
Solo studios are always free. The Solo plan gives one teacher unlimited students, home lessons with travel time, the mileage tracker, invoicing, payments and the app. Encore is $10 a month and adds the AI assistant, text reminders, outreach email and several events at once. We take no cut of lesson payments. Pricing →
