Your studio

Made for a studio full of families.

Most of your students are children, a lot of them siblings, and every parent wants one clear bill. That is where a piano studio starts.

Your year

A year in a piano studio.

  1. Enrollment

Set next term's hours ahead and they switch over on the day. New families find your studio website, see your lesson lengths and prices, and book without making an account.

  2. The weekly rhythm

Standing weekly lessons roll forward until you stop them, with a buffer you set kept free between students. Siblings sit back to back and land on one invoice.

  3. Books and materials

When a student starts a new method book, add it as a one-time charge. It goes on the family's next invoice with the lessons, so there's no separate bill to chase.

  4. Exam and festival season

Tag everyone entering, message them as a group, and offer an extra-lessons package only to the students you choose. The entry fee goes on the family invoice.

  5. Holidays and time away

Close the studio for a holiday, or mark yourself away for a week, without touching the weekly pattern your families count on.

  6. The spring recital

One event for the whole studio, with a capacity, ticket types for families and a registration question for each performer. Message everyone who is coming, and add the recital fee to the next invoice.

Questions

Questions piano teachers ask

Is MyVocalStudio only for voice? Can piano teachers use it?

Piano teachers can use it; it is built for every instrument, not just voice. Students book by instrument and see only the teachers who teach it, and everything on this page works the same for a piano studio of one teacher or ten.

Can I bill siblings on one invoice?

Yes. Brothers and sisters are billed together on one invoice to the parent who pays, grouped by child, and a standing sibling discount is applied on every invoice. One parent login covers every child. Payments and invoices →

How do I charge for method books and materials?

Add them as a one-time charge, if you bill by invoice. Say what it's for and the amount, and it goes on the family's next invoice, or invoice it right away. Exam entry fees and recital fees work the same way.

Can I run a recital with many students?

Yes. Set up the recital as an event with ticket types, a capacity, registration questions and RSVPs that need no login, then message everyone on the list at once. The Solo plan runs one live event at a time; Encore and Ensemble run several at once. Events and recitals →

Does it help with exam and festival preparation?

It keeps the logistics in one place, but it is not connected to any exam board or festival. Tag the students who are entering, message just them, sell extra lessons as a package, and add the entry fee as a one-time charge on the family invoice.

Can I see whether my piano students are practicing?

Yes, as a daily check-in. You set the current practice assignment, and each day the student taps "Yes, I practiced" in the student portal, on a phone or a computer, to build a streak, with this week, this month and their best streak shown. It records that practice happened, not how many minutes. Lessons, notes and practice →

How much does it cost for a piano teacher?

Solo studios are always free. The Solo plan gives one teacher unlimited students, scheduling, invoicing, family billing, payments and the app. Encore is $10 a month and adds the AI assistant, text reminders, outreach email and several events at once. We take no cut of lesson payments. Pricing →
