Your studio

Built for the loudest room in the building.

Drum lessons need the kit, and the kit lives in one room. Some students go home to a full kit, some to a practice pad, and plenty play in a band or drumline at school. MyVocalStudio keeps up with all of it.

Your week

A week in a drum studio.

  1. After school, in the kit room

Weekly lessons repeat on their own, and each one is booked into the room with the kit. A buffer between lessons gives you time to reset the throne and the snare.

  2. Two teachers, one kit

When a second teacher starts, both teach in the same kit room, and the room holds one lesson at a time. Each teacher keeps their own hours and students.

  3. A pad goes home

A new student without a kit borrows a practice pad with a due date. It shows on their student card until it comes back.

  4. Notes for the week

Write the rudiments and the groove to work on, attach a play-along or a chart, and set this week's practice assignment.

  5. Audition season

Add the snare solo and the mallet etude to each auditioning student's list, tag them, and sell an extra-lessons package to just those students.

  6. The showcase

One event for the whole studio, with a capacity, RSVPs that need no login and a registration question for each performer. Message everyone who is coming at once.

Questions

Questions drum teachers ask

Does MyVocalStudio work for drum and percussion teachers?

Yes. It is built for every instrument, not just voice. A drum studio gets rooms that are never double-booked, a lending library for practice pads and loaner drums, recurring weekly lessons, repertoire tracking, group classes, invoices and payments, and an iPhone and Android app.

Can two teachers share one kit room?

Yes. Add the kit room to your studio, and it holds one lesson at a time, so your booking page never offers the same kit twice. Each teacher keeps their own hours and students. Scheduling →

How do I keep track of practice pads and loaner drums?

Add them to your lending library with how many you own, then lend one to a student with a due date. You see who has each one, what is overdue and every item's history. It tracks loans, not rentals or sales. Students and parents →

Can I note which students have a drum kit at home?

Yes. Add your own dropdown field, such as Full kit, Electronic kit or Practice pad, and fill it in on each student. Show it as a column on your student list and filter by it.

Does it help with drumline and honor band auditions?

It keeps the logistics in one place, but it is not connected to any audition or school program. Add the snare solo and the mallet etude to each student's repertoire, tag the students who are auditioning, message just them, and sell extra lessons as a package.

Can I see whether my drum students are practicing?

Yes, as a daily check-in. Set the current practice assignment, such as this week's rudiments, and each day the student taps "Yes, I practiced" to build a streak. It records that practice happened, not how many minutes. Lessons, notes and practice →

How much does it cost for a drum teacher?

The Solo plan gives one teacher unlimited students, private lessons and group classes, invoicing, family billing, payments and the app. Encore is $10 a month and adds the AI assistant, text reminders, outreach email and several events at once. We take no cut of lesson payments. Pricing →
